For a general article on the formation of Saudi Caves, you could check: SAUDI ARABIA'S DESERT CAVES in Aramco World Magazine, March/April 2000. For detailed information on around 50 of the desert caves, look in the SAUDICAVES BIBLIOGRAPHY for the many fine reports by R. Benischke, G.Fuchs, and V. Weissensteiner, titled: Karst phenomena of the Arabian Shelf Platform and their Influence on Underground Aquifers. According to Mr. Benischke, KFUPM's Geology Dept has all of these reports. Perhaps they will be kind enough to let you see these reports for research purposes. If you run into any difficulty finding the reports, please let me know. I might be able to help. John Pint
